Botox

Just below the surface of the skin is a network of delicate muscles that contract and relax allowing us to make facial expressions. As we age these facial expressions begin to produce permanent creases often referred to as dynamic wrinkles. As these wrinkles deepen with time they often lead to undesirable facial features, such as a wrinkled forehead, wrinkles where your nose and forehead meet or crows feet around the eyes. Such permanent facial features often make us appear, unfriendly, older, annoyed or irritated.

Botox offers us the ability to remove these permanent facial expressions, leaving you with what appears as a well rested, inviting facial expression. FDA-approved Botox treatments involve injections just below the surface of the skin into the delicate facial muscles causing the wrinkles. The injected muscles relax, allowing the skin to lay flat and unwrinkled. The treatments take only minutes to perform and the full effects are usually noticeable within a few days. A treated area will usually maintain this relaxed state for about 4 months, at which time the treatment can be repeated. The longer a patient uses Botox, the longer the effect may last.

Botox, in use since 1980, can also be used to treat excessive perspiration of the palms, feet and underarms, as well as relief from tension headaches and migraines. If you're experiencing one of these conditions or have forehead lines, crow's feet, fine lines around your mouth, horizontal or vertical neck lines, then Botox may be the answer for you. You'll look younger and feel better about yourself.
